Stability analysis and movement process determination of rock masses under open-pit to underground mining conditions

چکیده
Underground mining under an open-pit slope results in movement and instability of rock masses. However, most mass prediction methodologies are empirical only suitable for underground mining. In this paper, a new theoretical methodology is proposed to predict the masses caused by mining, combining two influences, slopes Considering influence open pit on damage patterns, double-slip surface deflection failure model compared with conditions. The critical value sliding body area location were derived based limit equilibrium state determined using vector sum method, verified particle flow program. Additionally, base friction tests used assess suitability processes. moving boundary conditions discovered be deflected larger than process was bottom goaf collapse-middle deflection-top cracking, pattern traction landslide passing from surface, which differed uneven subsidence These revealed that reasonable predicting

An Uncertainty-based Transition from Open Pit to Underground Mining
There are some large scale orebodies that extend from surface to the extreme depths of the ground. Such orebodies should be extracted by a combination of surface and underground mining methods. Economically, it is highly important to know the limit of upper and lower mining activities. This concern leads the mine designers to the transition problem, which is one of the most complicated problems...
متن کاملOptimizing the open pit-to-underground mining transition
A large number of metal deposits are initially extracted via surface methods, but then transition underground without necessarily ceasing to operate above ground. Currently, most mine operators schedule the open pit and underground operations independently and then merge the two, creating a myopic solution. We present a methodology to maximize the NPV for an entire metal deposit by determining ...
متن کاملPhysical Model Test and Numerical Simulation Study of Deformation Mechanism of Wall Rock on Open Pit to Underground Mining (RESEARCH NOTE)
This paper is based on the open pit to underground mining practice of Daye Iron Mine. The influence mechanism between high-steep slope and non-pillar sublevel caving method is studied by using physical model test. Firstly, engineering geological properties of the choosing typical research section is analysed and generalized. Secondly, the system of open pit to underground mining is developing a...
متن کاملInvestigation of Bishop’s and Janbu’s Models Capabilities on Slope Stability Problems with Special Consideration to Open-Pit Mining Operations
One of the most effective parameters in economics of open-pit mines is the pit slope angle, so that the slope angle more than the optimum value increases the probability of a large failure in the pit wall and the slope angle less than the optimum value leads to increasing stripping ratio and reducing net present value of mine. Therefore, in this paper, considering the limit equilibrium methods ...
متن کاملMining-Induced Strata Movement of Open-Pit Final
Strata and surface movement induced by mining under open-pit final slope is a huge 8 threat to mine safety. Physical model test is an important method to study mining-induced strata 9 and surface movement laws. Because of rock joints predominantly control rock mass deformation 10 and failure, thus physical model test leaving out of consideration of rock joints is difficult to reflect 11 the inf...
